Mind and Mind factors (Citta and Cetasika) 40: Vinnana (Consciousness) & 7 universal mind factors 2

In the world where mind (nama) and matter (rupa) coexist, the mind and the mind factors arise from the same foundation. There are six foundations.
The foundation of the eyes - eye consciousness - eye + form
The foundation of the ears - ear consciousness - ear + sound
The foundation of the nose - nasal consciousness - nose + smell
The foundation of the tongue - tongue consciousness - tongue + taste
The foundation of the body - body consciousness - body + sense feeling
The foundation of the heart - consciousness - mind + thought
When the five consciousnesses (the five doors open and recognize) arise, the mind factors of the seven universal factors arise together, and these minds are called the rootless resultant minds. Since they can arise as either wholesome (kusala) or unwholesome (akusala) minds, there are ten pairs of cases with the five consciousnesses x two minds (kusala or akusala).
When we simply see and recognize a form with our eyes, the latent karma comes into play, or even if we see the same form, the resultant of karma arises as a different state of mind by the current conditions.
Therefore, it is important to always keep sati (mindfulness) with Sila (morality), and remain calm so that there are no sources of defilement in the mind.
The mind factors of the five gates (eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and body) are manifested by the mind without roots, so it can be dangerous when there is no mindfulness and wisdom (pannya). Since Moha, delusion ignorance, is strong, if one dies in the state of Moha, one will be born in the next life in the state of strong Moha. It is said that people in a strong state of Moha due to lack wisdom, so even if they are reborn as humans, they are likely to be born with disabilities or not be born as humans but as animals.
This shows the greatness of Vipassana insight, but it is also a side effect of Samatha meditation that only focuses on concentration.
Please remind yourself to always maintain mindfulness and awareness.
May a good heart be developed through right awareness (Samma-Sati), right effort (Samma-Vayama), and moderation!
May you develop the wisdom insight through Vipassana!
